DECLARATION TO SOCIETY
I am not an object
or baby factory.
I am neither a "slut"
nor virginal and pristine.
Compunded roles,
in tyranny of political majority
will not present me with some void
I'm supposed to fill.
Anatomy is not destingy.
but a consequence of x or y.
Ovaries or testicles
reveal a standing line
where dignity is replaced
with assigned boundary.

KNITTING AT THE BIZZAR...
So, whilst discussing the proper name for my kniiting company...which shall be known as quixotic, we went to Ryleigh's to ponder and knit. No one told us we couldn't. Think about that. Think about all the things you can do that people haven't told you that you can't do. Maybe it's because they don't have the imagination to limit that particular action yet. But they will get there. I hope to be knitting in bars when I am 89. Knit revolution.

This is how we roll...
Just another evening after knit club and some delicious fried chicken...it was a good day after the seriously heinous one that I had yesterday. My miderm video tape was eaten by the VCR and I hadn't finished transcribing it. I won't bore you with the nasty details. These are a couple of projects that I'm working on. The first is a shawl with GGH Bel Air yarn and the second is a pair of socks knit simultaneously on circular needles. I am so proud of this. LJo and I worked on this last week and now I'm kicking some ass with it. It still takes forever, but at least the socks will be done at the same time.

These are some pictures from when I went to Chicago in August with my kick ass Joplin friends Whitney, Melody, and Zack. We stayed downtown one night and in the ghetto for the next two but it was cool anyway. My feet were throbbing and practically bleeding after a day on the Michigan Mile. This was on an architectural boat tour we took.

Well, I spent at least eight hours knitting today. It only whetted my appetite for more. Yesterday I knitted in both of my classes, so that's about an extra 4 hours of pleasure. I was still able to participate. I don't think it's any more distracting than eating in class...some folks choose to each crunch vegetables, I choose to knit. Today I went on a knitting outing with LJ. We spent 5 hours or so working on 2 socks on 2 circulars. It's so satisfying...
